Dr. Gruyu Velev

Dr. Gruyu Velev works in the surgical ward of Medline Hospital and in Medical Center-1 in Plovdiv.

He graduated medicine at the Medical University in Plovdiv in 1969. He acquired a specialty in general surgery in 1978, and in pediatric surgery - in 1980.

He has many specializations in the field of surgery - in 1988 at the University Hospital in Warsaw in pediatric surgery, and in 1998 at the Children's Hospital in Boston also in pediatric surgery.

In 2000, in Maastricht, the Netherlands, he completed a specialization in the training of students in surgery. In 2010 he took a course in pediatric surgery in Lille, France.

After graduation he started working in Peshtera. In 1971 he entered the Pazardzhik Hospital. From 1974 to 2011 he was in the Clinic of Pediatric Surgery at the University Hospital St. Georgi in Plovdiv, where besides healing he is also engaged in teaching.

Since 2011 he has been employed in the surgery department of Medline Hospital and in Medical Center-1.
